いろいろ噂はあったのですが、Intel CPUとAMD Radeon GPUが本当に1チップ化されるようです。上がその正式リリース。

第8世代Core H series processorと第2世代High-Bandwidth memory（HBM 2）、サードパーティグラフィックスとしてAMD Radeon Technology GroupのGPUを1つのパッケージに収めたものになるようです。

また、このようなことを可能にしたのがEmbedded Multi-Die Interconnect Bridge(EMIB)と呼ぶ1チップの中で複数のDieをインターコネクトするための技術で、いままで別のチップであったCPU,GPU,VRAMを一つのチップ内に集約し、ボード上の表面積を減らせるだけでなく、従来のバス接続よりより効率的になります。

また、1チップ内のGPU, CPUは統一された電源管理により電力が制御されるので、従来より消費電力や発熱を抑えることも出来るようです。

基本的にハイエンドのモバイル製品向け、簡単に言うとゲーミングノートPC向けの製品になりそうですが、そんな馬鹿なと思っていたのに本当に出来るって言う話になるとびっくりですね。というか、AMDせっかくのRyzen APUが売れなくなるんじゃ。。。
